The SLLIS Council has been reorganized to be a great communication mode between parents and administrators! Please feel free to attend our next meeting this Wednesday, March 4, at 9:00am or 6:00pm in the 1st floor Health Room! The same topics will be discussed at both meetings.

SLLIS students and staff ended the month of February dancing together to celebrate Black History Month. We thank our performers, Jahfi Studio, for bringing that spirit to our school!





Great news! At February's board meeting, the Board of Directors voted to approve a salary schedule correction which raised SLLIS salaries by an average of 10% and made our starting salary for Bachelor’s degree-holders in or near the top-10 districts in the state! TSP-4: Sharing with the scientist Dr. Baldrich Gonzalez and DelPercio the data collected throughout the experiment was useful to write a good journal reflection following the Gomez & Gomez model.



TSP-4: Commemorating Darwin day we learned about evolution by having to “hunt” beans from a bowl with “poisonous” rice. We used 2 different tools and also our fingers to pinch. We understood that adaptation/evolution gave us dexterities to survive.
