Superintendent: Dr. Meghan Hill

Dr. Hill has been a member of the SLLIS team since 2011. She taught multiple grades in The French School, then served as a SLLIS principal from 2016 to 2018 before stepping into her role as SLLIS Superintendent in June 2018.

A Teach for America alum, Dr. Hill is a dedicated educator with a passion for serving the families of St. Louis City. Dr. Hill holds a Doctorate and Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University and a Master’s degree in French from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a certified teacher in the areas of elementary education, Spanish, and French and holds a Principal and Superintendent license for the state of Missouri.

Chief Operating Officer: Dr. Anthony Graham

Dr. Graham brings over a decade of experience in education, spanning diverse regions such as Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Southern Illinois, and rural Alaska. His teaching background extends every grade from Pre-K to sixth grade, and he has held roles as an Assistant Principal (K-8), Principal (ECC-8), and Central Office Administrator across multiple departments. Additionally, he has contributed to learning support centers, developing and implementing behavior and academic interventions for learners of all ages, from toddlers to adults.

Dr. Graham pursued a distinctive educational journey. He holds an A.A.S. in Agriculture Business and Agriculture Production and Management from Rend Lake College, a B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in Sociology from Southern Illinois University, an M.A. in Teaching specializing in Elementary Education from Oakland University, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Michigan, where he also earned his Principal Certification. Furthermore, he obtained an Ed.D. in Educational Practice with a central focus on Global Education and Leadership from the University of Missouri - St. Louis.

Dr. Graham also serves as the Title IX Coordinator.

Special Programs Director: Dr. Lisa Tariq

Dr. Tariq was born and raised in New York and has worked within the field of Education for over eleven years. Dr. Tariq's teaching positions as a Special Education and Bilingual Teacher have afforded her invaluable experience working with children of varying educational and cultural backgrounds. To extend her role as an educator, she pursued Administration with the commitment of guiding the talents and energies of teachers, staff, students, and parents towards achieving educational successes. Dr. Tariq has served as an Assistant Principal at the Elementary and Middle School levels, a Pupil Personnel Supervisor (K-12), a Principal of an Early Childhood Center and Director of Special Programs. 

Dr. Tariq holds a dual undergraduate degree in Childhood Education/Students with Disabilities (1-6), a dual Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education/Students with Disabilities (B-2), and an Advanced Certificate in Bilingual Education (K-12). Dr. Tariq holds New York State and Missouri Certifications as both a Building and District Leader and obtained her Ed.D in Leadership in Innovation and Continuous Improvement from Concordia University of Wisconsin.

Dr. Tariq is dedicated to promoting a safe learning environment and a positive school culture that is student-focused. She has a strong commitment to the development and implementation of quality educational programs that emphasize an accelerated learning environment and support the needs of all students in reaching their academic potential. 

Enrollment and Data Director: Jennifer Ting

Jennifer Ting comes from Taiwan and sees St. Louis as her second home. In 2016, she joined SLLIS as an intern and found her interests in serving K-12 students and also cultivated her passion for bringing second languages to American Education. Jennifer started her role as SLLIS Enrollment Specialist in 2018. In July 2020, she stepped into her new role as Enrollment and Assessment Manager.


Jennifer has earned a Bachelor's of Art in Humanities and Education from Chung Yuan Christian University, and is currently working on her dual master's in Educational Leadership and MBA at Saint Louis University. 

Principal: Dr. Tim Majerus

During Dr. Majerus’s career he has taught at the elementary, middle school and high school levels. He also had the opportunity to teach several classes at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Majerus has spent the majority of his career as a building principal. His 22-year administrative career has included four years as a K-8 principal, and 18 years working as an elementary principal for the Columbia Public Schools. He had the privilege of opening a new elementary school in Columbia in 2016.

Dr. Majerus has a B.A. in English Education from the University of Northern Iowa, along with Masters, Specialist and Doctorate degrees in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He loves working with students, teachers, and families, and is passionate about improving school culture and student achievement. In his free time, Dr. Majerus enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loves spending time outdoors and is an avid golfer. 

Assistant Principal: Dr. Raul Munoz-Rodrigo

Dr. Munoz is a bilingual educator who has been a SLLIS member since 2013. He had the privilege to teach first, second, fifth, sixth grade, and middle school for The Spanish Program throughout these years, achieving SLLIS Students’ Academic Growth Award in the school year 2016-2017 among others. In addition, he has had the chance to serve as a Liaison of the Spanish Program and as an active member of various school committees focused on students' academic achievement and school culture.

Dr. Raul Munoz Rodrigo started his career in Spain as a third-grade lead teacher after he acquired his B.S. in Elementary Education and M.A. in Education in the city of Madrid. However, his internship experience at SLLIS in 2011 changed his core values and decided to center all of his efforts on promoting a positive change in all students that are part of SLLIS. With this in mind, to achieve the goal of providing equity, bilingual, and transformational education to the students of SLLIS, Dr. Munoz obtained his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University in 2022. 

Interim Assistant Principal: Ndeye Coumba Gueye

Mme. Coumba’s teaching journey started at a very young age. Her passion in motivating her students and witnessing them achieve their goals piqued her commitment in advocating for them and children in general. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, she was granted a scholarship to Mount Holyoke College, where she completed her French teaching internship. Mme. Coumba has been a member of SLLIS for nearly a decade, and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She is thrilled to continue the work and extend her knowledge in the field of education.

Development Director: Peggy Michelson

Meet Peggy, an enthusiastic, results-driven manager and motivator with a proven track record of business development, fundraising and marketing success in not-for-profit and for-profit businesses. She is optimistic, dedicated, passionate and loyal. 

She forges bonds between various sectors of the community and knows where to go to “get things done." Peggy’s success stems from her proven history of delivering results that build confidence and trust. She is focused on building collaborative partnerships and finding value for all parties. Years of networking have given her an intangible knack for putting the right people, corporations and foundations together to gather support for the project at hand.  Peggy started as a French Major and graduated with an undergraduate  degree from Washington University in Elementary Education and Sociology. Peggy is passionate about motivating and inspiring young people to be the best they can be and to always see a bright "light" ahead on their personal journey.
