Every year, during this season of “giving”, we engage our corporate partners and the SLLIS community to support our SLLIS “Shining Star” students. This year, we are focusing on funding for: the first year of the SLLIS-run Pre-K; the new Bridge to French program; continually building the Middle School Athletics program; and the ongoing specialized recruitment of Global Staff. We have a lot of exciting initiatives for
which we need extra support! SLLIS is considering expanding its Dual Language Pre-K programming in the future. Please respond to the survey linked below by no later than December 6th if you have future Pre-K students at home! All Missouri children under five years old are now able to register for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library! There is no deadline to register. The Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by providing age-appropriate books each month to children free of charge. In order to receive books, a parent or guardian must register their child on the Imagination Library national website. Books will be mailed directly to the homes of registered children every month. You can apply for the Guaranteed Basic Income pilot program by this Wednesday, November 1! The City of St. Louis, through the Office of the Mayor and the Office of the Treasurer, is administering a GBI pilot program for qualified residents.
