Yesterday we excavated chocolate chips from cookies to see how different methods of mining affect the environment! This was in preparation for our tour of Bussen quarry today.

During earth day week, kindergartens learned and applied different games in gym to demonstrate understanding of support for environmental protection. We close up the unit by having them engaged in a Recycling Relay Race (RRR) at our school playground.

6th Grade students study Geometry. They examine how two-dimensional flat surfaces, called nets, fold into three-dimensional figures. This activity reinforces understanding that each fold has a separate surface area; and summation reveals the total surface area of the 3-D figure.

STEM night! Our students at SLLIS are expanding their love of Science thanks to YSP and PTO!





April 23th is the day of the book and in Catalonia they celebrate Sant Jordi the 4th graders learn about it.


On Monday we learned about Earth Day and today we are watching Our Planet from Netflix. It is amazing how beautiful our planet is.
